The Friends of the Library is a volunteer support group that has been active for many years. The group organizes fund raising activities to support the library. The fund raising efforts include selling homemade apple crisp at Hopkinton's Polyarts Festival each fall, as well as holding two book sales each year. The Friends of the Library welcomes new members.

The Friends of the Library donate museum passes to the Children's Discovery Museum, Museum of Science, Plimoth Plantation and the Roger Williams Zoo.
