Creating a PIN (personal identification number) & Tips for using your library card
- Create a PIN: The first time you log in, leave the PIN space blank. You will be prompted on the second page to create a PIN. The PIN can contain numbers, or lowercase letters, or both, not to exceed 40 characters in length.
Note: If you get this error message, "Sorry, the information you submitted was invalid. Please try again," then you probably created a PIN in the past...
- Forgot Your Pin? Log in as usual, then click "Forget Your Pin?" You will receive an email from CWMars with instructions to create a new PIN.

Renewals: Most items may be renewed (one time only), unless another patron is waiting for the item.
-
Placing Requests (HOLDS): Learn how to get items that are checked out but available at other libraries: books + movies + music + audiobooks + more! (Please note that the regional network limits you to 10 Holds pending at one time)
-
Email: the library uses your email address only to send notices: when a requested item (Hold) has arrived, to alert you that an item will be due in 2 days, and to remind you that an item is 2 weeks overdue.
Changing your Email: Log in, then click on "Update Email Info"
-
Error Messages: When requesting an item, "See a librarian," usually means the library simply needs to update your information. This cannot be done by email; please call Circulation at 508-393-5025.
You cannot place holds, check out materials, or use databases if your card is blocked.
Why your card may not work:
a) Your card is expired. You must renew your card in person or by phone. We will check that your address, phone, and email address are correct, and then your card will be renewed for another 2 years.
b) You have a library item that is more than 28 days late. You must return the item before you can use your card. If visiting the library, please bring the item(s) to the Check-Out/Returns Desk, and we will check it in immediately.
c) You owe $10 or more in late fees. You must pay enough of the fees to take your balance below $10, before you can use your card. For any charge $5 and up, you may pay online.
