Library Card
You need a library card to borrow materials from the library and to reserve discounted museum passes.
To get a library card - Stop by the circulation desk and fill out a form. Adults will need to provide an ID and confirmation of their current address. If your picture ID does not have your current address, please bring a bill or other official document mailed to your home, lease or mortgage, or other document that can confirm your current address.

Adults, 18 years and up: picture ID and confirmation of current address required
Teens, 16 - 18 years: picture ID required
Teens, 13 – 15 years: no ID required
Children, 5 – 12 years: bring a parent or guardian (with their ID or Library Card)

With a library card you can do the following:
  • Create a PIN and log in to your library account online
  • View your reading history (if you opt-in to your checkout history being saved)
  • Renew items and learn about the loan period, fines and fees
  • Select and request items
  • Download audio books, music and movies
    Reserve museum passes (Hopkinton residents only)
  • Access databases for research
The first card is free to any Massachusetts resident.

Replacement cards are $1. You can use your Hopkinton Public Library card at libraries in the C/W MARS network in central and western Massachusetts.
